Damar Hamlin and Bronny James' Cardiac Arrests: Are COVID Vaccines to Blame?

NBA

Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, he has not shied away from giving his opinion. Elon again made headlines when he tweeted that COVID vaccines might be linked to Bronny's stroke.

According to Musk, who also raised questions about the vaccines, myocarditis is a known side effect of the COVID vaccine that we cannot ignore. He blamed Bronny's and Damar's incidents on the vaccine.

Bronny received many tweets from fans praying for his speedy recovery. One of the tweets came from NFL player Damar Hamlin, who himself had a close call when he collapsed on the field.

GET WELL SOON

In Damar Hamlin’s case, he was hit in the chest which can cause a condition called Commotio cordis. It is a rare condition that can lead to cardiac arrest.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

In James' case he was working out at the time of the incident. We don't know if he had any underlying heart condition, so we can’t say with certainty what actually happened.

BRONNY JAMES SPECULATION

A recent study by University of Washington concluded that sudden cardiac arrest is the number one cause of death amongst college athletes.

WHAT STUDIES SUGGEST

It's hard to say if COVID vaccine had anything to do with Bronny’s cardiac arrest. Although Elon is a remarkable genius, I think he missed the mark on this one.
