Very few players are so gifted and talented that they are good enough to start in the NBA right away and skip college altogether.  

While college experience is important for athletes to hone their skills and prepare for the NBA, some are simply born ready

Though some went bust others broke records. Here are the top 5 NBA players who ignored college entirely and went on to achieve great feats.  

Tracy didn't really reach his peak until he got traded to the Orlando Magic. He was titled the NBA’s best scorer from 2002 to 2004. A big achievement for a kid from Auburndale.

TRACY MCGRADY

Initially, Howard wasn’t able to live up to the hype. However, after he won a slam dunk contest, he started living up to his potential and finally fulfilled his destiny when he won an NBA title in 2020.

DWIGHT HOWARD

Another champion who lit up the boston garden with his trash talks and aggressive style of playing. He and his Big Three ran through Kobe and his Lakers in 2008 to claim the title.  

KEVIN GARNETT

Mamba was the youngest player to be drafted into the NBA, at the age of 17. Not only was he the best highschool player in the US at the time, he went on to win 5 NBA championships.

KOBE BRANT

The Chosen one has had a great career so far, with 4 championships under his belt. At the age of 38, he is still going strong and is competing for titles.

LEBRON JAMES
