#10) Ohio State 42, Oregon 20 (2015)

Georgia started strong taking a 10-0 lead. However, TCU quickly bounced back with a touchdown. Then the Bulldogs completely took control of the game, setting records for the BCS/CFP title game by scoring 55 points and achieving the largest margin of victory.

Stetson Bennett played a role in this success, matching the College Football Playoff touchdown record with four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Overall Georgia had a total of 615 yards throughout the game.

Defensively they limited TCU to 36 rushing yards. Forced three turnovers all thanks to Javon Bullard’s excellent performance as a defensive back.

In the end, Georgia achieved a victory with a score of 65-7. This win became the one-sided outcome in a College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Set a new record for the largest margin of victory in any title game.

It also marked Georgia’s national title win. Despite being seen as favorites this decisive result came as quite unexpected following TCU’s triumph over Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan team in the semifinals.
