MarShawn Davon Thamir Lloyd was born on January 5 2001 in Wilmington, Delaware. He spent his childhood in the West End neighborhood of the city. Lloyd attended schools, in Wilmington until he completed a grade. Then he transferred to DeMatha Catholic High School situated in Hyattsville, Maryland.

DeMatha is an all-boys school known for its football program. Lloyd demonstrated his skills as a player, for the Stags. Received All-Met honors. Additionally, he showcased his abilities in track and field by specializing in sprinting events.

High School Career

MarShawn Lloyd had a high school career, at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. He was highly regarded as a notch running back. Received a five-star recruit rating.

Lloyd played on the varsity team for three years at DeMatha, where he showcased his talent. During his year he impressively rushed for than 2,000 yards and scored 20 touchdowns. Additionally, he contributed over 500 receiving yards. Found the end zone five times.

In his year Lloyd led DeMatha to a 7-4 record. He continued to excel on the field by rushing for over 1,500 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns. Furthermore, he made contributions with, over 400 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

College Career

MarShawn Lloyds time, in college, has had its ups and downs. He began his journey at the University of South Carolina. Unfortunately, he experienced an ACL during his initial year. However, he. Made a comeback in 2021 playing as a backup, in 12 games. During that time he managed to accumulate 228 rushing yards and score one touchdown.

In 2022 Lloyd stepped into the role of the player. Had a decent season. He managed to accumulate 801 yards and score five touchdowns in 11 games. However, he did encounter some difficulties with fumbling resulting in a total of five turnovers.

Following the conclusion of the 2022 season Lloyd made public his decision to transfer to the University of Southern California. It is anticipated that he will take on the position of starting running for the Trojans in 2023.

NIL Deal

MarShawn Lloyd has recently signed an agreement, with Clean Energy, a company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan that specializes in creating plant-based smoothies. Clean Energy takes pride in using ingredients and does not include any synthetic additives, preservatives, added sugars, or artificial flavors in their smoothies.

They are well known for serving departments in conferences such as ACC, Big 10, and Pac 12 along with sports teams like the Green Bay Packers and the women’s basketball Final Four.

Lloyd experienced a setback during the 2020 season due to a torn ACL. As someone who prioritizes providing his body with high-quality nourishment partnering with Clean Energy is not beneficial, for him. Also aligns perfectly with his values and goals.
