Michael, who was born on October 19 2001 in the city of San Francisco, California is the child of Brian Harrison and Edna Salazar. His remarkable journey began on the streets of San Francisco. Has now led him to the promising football fields of college. 

High School 

Before starting college Michael developed his skills while attending St. Ignatius College Prep, in the Bay Area. With the guidance of coach John Regalia, his year was truly exceptional. The team achieved a 9 3 record, including a 6 1 in the West Catholic League ultimately winning the league championship. St. Ignatius earned recognition as the team in the Bay Area, during Michael’s senior season and was ranked No. 10 by the San Jose Mercury News.

Apart, from football, Michael also demonstrated his abilities in other sports such as track, soccer, and baseball. In track and field events he excelled in a range of disciplines including the 100-meter race, 330-meter hurdles, long jump, high jump, and triple jump. Some notable accomplishments in his track career include completing the 100-meter sprint in 11.98 seconds achieving a time of 47.49 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles event clearing a height of 5 feet 4 inches in jump covering a distance of 20 feet 2 inches, jumping and impressive performance of reaching a mark of 40 feet 2.5 inches in the triple jump.

College Career 

Michael excels not on the field but, in the classroom. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Marketing at the University of Colorado where he continues to demonstrate his commitment to excellence that he developed during his high school years. Throughout school, Michael maintained a GPA of over 3.5 which is a testament to his dedication to academics. Furthermore, he received recognition for his achievements, with the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter Academic All Colorado honor.

On the Field

During the 2022 season Michael, who was a redshirt sophomore, at the time showcased his versatility by participating in all 12 games. He made an impact on teams accumulating an impressive seven points. These points included forcing catches and executing five knockdown blocks on kick returns. Furthermore, he demonstrated his receiving abilities by making two receptions for a total of 12 yards.

Michael’s college football journey began in the 2021 season when he was a freshman. Throughout that year he played in all 12 games. Primarily contributed to teams. In this role, he earned four points for his team with three knockdowns. Springing blocks on kickoff returns. One instance where he was the first player downfield during kickoff return plays.

In his year as a college athlete in 2020, as a freshman Michael did not have any game appearances; however it was evident that he was preparing himself for future seasons to come.

Michael Harrison’s Recent Interview 

During an interview, Michael Harrison shared insights, about his transition from being a receiver to becoming a tight end. He explained that the decision wasn’t immediate; it took some persuasion from Coach Pratt and Coach Bruce. They presented the position change as a chance for him to get playing time which eventually convinced Michael to embrace the shift. He expressed appreciation for the coaching he and his teammates receive emphasizing how crucial it is when adjusting to a role like that of a tight end.

Michael also had praise for the team’s quarterback applauding their throwing ability and leadership on the field. Additionally, he mentioned that he has been focusing on gaining weight to achieve a range of 225 to 230 pounds ensuring he remains effective in both passing and running aspects of the game.
