Nick Saban’s coaching journey started back in the years, as an assistant at Kent State from 1973 to 1977. Moving on to become a coach from 1978 to 1994 Saban gained experiences at esteemed universities such as Syracuse, Michigan State, and Ohio State further solidifying his prowess in defensive tactics.

Saban’s first opportunity as a head coach came at Toledo from 1999 to 2000 where he achieved success by revitalizing the program and leading them to their bowl game in ten years. His subsequent tenure at LSU from 2000 to 2004 marked an era of dominance with five SEC championships and a national title win in 2003 elevating Saban’s status among the coaching elite.

In 2007 Saban began his leadership journey at Alabama. Since then he has achieved success with seven championships under his belt and has coached exceptional players who went on to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy and succeed in the NFL. When Nick Saban initially joined the University of Alabama back in 2007. He inked an eight-year deal of $32 million. Since then his contract value has tripled compared to its terms.
