Nicole DeBoer was born in December of 1978. Her parents, Terry and Lori Tendler had her in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she grew up falling in love with the game of basketball.

Nicole DeBoer, who graduated from Augustana University in 2001 with a degree in fitness management, was also a member of the university’s basketball team.

Nicole and Kalen DeBoer first met in the summer of 2000, when Kalen was an offensive coordinator at the University of Sioux Falls. Alexis on the other hand played softball at Bellevue High and decided to join her father at the University of Washington in November of 2023. While attending one of her games, Kalen said, “When your kids are involved and you can support them, having the chance to do that, it’s a lot of fun.”
